She has studied singing with the soprano Elizette Bayan and concluded her singing degree at the Lisbon Higher College of Music. She’s also graduated in Business Management from the ISCTE University, Lisbon. She was awarded at the National Singing Competition Luisa Todi in 1993.
She has performed in several important halls and festivals through the country and abroad such as the São Carlos National Theatre; Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Macau International Music Festival. She sung with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra, the Calouste Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Chinese National Opera Orchestra, the Porto National Orchestra, conducted by Michael Zilm, Michel Corboz, Giuliano Carella, Marko Letonya and perfomed with Sumi Jo, Anna Tomowa-Sintow, Luis Miguel Sintra, António Rosado, Rão Kyao…
Her vocal and artistic versatility allows her to sing a wide repertoire from Opera (Carmen, La Bohéme, Don Giovanni, etc), Operette (Viúva Alegre, o Morcego), Oratorio (Exsultate, Jubilate – Mozart, Requiem Alemão, etc), Lied (Rückert Lieder de Mahler, Os Sonetos de Petrarca de Liszt,…), Broadway Musicals (Les Miserables, West Side Story, My Fair Lady…) to Popular Songs (Brasilian, Spanish, Italian, French songs and Portuguese Fado).
Beyond the recordings for the RDP – Portuguese Broadcasting Co. in live concerts, she has also recorded 3 CDs: in 2000 the Opera Arias CD Je veux vivre and in 2002 the Sacred Arias CD Alleluia both with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and conducted by Maestro Manuel Ivo Cruz. In 2007 she recorded her 3rd CD Upon a Star – Enchanted Songs in Duo with the Harpist Andreia Marques and Rui Vieira Nery wrote the following appreciation:
