Festival Entre Quintas – Homage to Olga Cadaval

A recital as a gesture of homage to Olga Cadaval, who was an important figure within the portuguese musical midst as a great patron and supporter of artists from every nationalities.
The program includes a conjoint work of russian composers in honor to the russian millionaire and philanthrope, Mitrofan Belyayev. Founder of a circle with his name, aiming to promote russian music, he would organise every friday in his mansion in St. Petersbourg, debut concerts for musical works. This way he would support the artists, and also by editing their music sheets. In one of these concerts, by the occasion of his anniversary, four members of this circle – N. Rimsky-Korsakov, Al. Glazunov, A.Lyadov and Al. Borodin – presented this strings quartet written together using the letters of his name: the main musical motif is based on the three notes “B”, “Lá” (A) and “F”.
To this work, we added a strings quartet from another great composer of the russian music, S. Prokofiev.

Attendants who come on the day without filling out this seat request may find no available seats.

According to the new regulations from the Portuguese Health Administration, DGS – Direção Geral da Saúde, all attendants must wear a face mask at the venue. The Organization of Festival Entre Quintas will follow all the requirements regarding social distancing, as well as disinfection of all the spaces where the events will take place.
