Cristiana Oliveira, eminent portuguese soprano with an international career, had her debuts the last season in Italy, at Catania’s Massimo Bellini, with the role of Magda in Puccini’s “La Rondine”, and as Madalena di Cogny in Giordano’s “Andrea Chenier”. She also debuted in Germany with Beethoven’s bravery aria “Ah Perfido” and Verdi’s “Requiem”.
On the 2019/2020 season she will be “Butterfly”, “Leonora” in A Forza del Destino, “Musetta” in La Boheme and “Leonora” in Il Trovatore.
Cristiana Oliveira studied piano and violin from a young age before graduating in Singing at the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts in Porto, Portugal. She attended the Estúdio de Opera de Barcelona, as well as the New York Opera Studio. Cristiana won the XIV Estoril International Interpretation Competition, performing “The Four Last Songs of Strauss”, and the Jury Special Prize at the International Singing Competition “Maria Malibran” in Milan.
